State School about to be built?

Sources informing me that the state school will be erected soon, I use the word erected, as it seem's that the school buildings will be prefabs , one can see the reasoning, due to the time factor and cost. Seem's the gov wants the structures ready by Jan 2014.

I am sure that this will relieve the burden on OPS!

Saw an SMS today in the Namibian newspaper of a person complaining about the delay in the State School in Oranjemund.... 

From a personal viewpoint, I think it is wrong of the Gov to leave this initiative hanging as it will place an additional burden for the planning of OPS's School year 2014,

Anyone want to bet, come the 1st of Feb 2014, there will be no state school ready for operation.....?

Its way to late to build and man a school for 2014, maybe 2016.

Agree with Mike S.    Now tell me how many school going children are in Oranjemund that another school is neccessary (sp).  I'm asking. I don't have a clue. Have things changed that much?

A lot of the kids are from parents who do not work for the company, in most cases for either the state or low paying contracting companies.

The school was being swamped by kids who came from other areas of Namibia, due to the high standard of education delivered by this fine institution....

Kid's who's legal parents were not even residing here....

Anyhow, there is a big demand from lower income groups for the state to provide an alternative cheaper place to educate their kids....

Some rumours doing the rounds reckon that the number of state pupils might be as high as 400.....

Rumours doing the rounds that the money allocated for the State School went back to the National Budget, now locals are scrambling to "find" a place to turn into a state school,

Somebody mentioned subdividing the Zacharia Lawella Hall at west into classrooms.... I think not!

Come the 20th Jan 2014 when the new school year starts.... there are going to be a lot of tensions...

And if some person starts to scream about it being a racist issue, you better grow up.... 22 years after independence it's time to get real.... it's about the "haves" and the "Have nots" .... if the state appointed people cannot do their jobs , replace them.....

Well Halfway through October and no news is forthcoming on the erection of a State School! We await in anticipation......

Come Jan 20th 2014, there are gonna be a couple of highly agitated parents!
