It amazes me that we only have one garbage disposal truck in this fine town of ours!

Now, harking back to the "good ol' day's" , as I always do, in a time when the town was run like a Swiss Clock, we had two lorries .... this was handy for two reasons...

1) Refuse removal was done more efficiently,

2) If one truck had to go in for service, you could still manage....

Now, since Friday, last week, our single lorry has not been operational..... in Spar, a Health hazard started to form, a mountain of garbage as high as the roof, the stench unbearable.....

After much communication a lorry arrived on Tuesday morning, where the lads piled the litter sky high.... as the open lorry drove down the clean streets, the wind whipped up the loose papers and plastics......

Now, perhaps with the rather large influx of expected people coming to town next year, it might be wise to invest in a 2nd machine?

Anyone?

Ironic, like all towns in Namibia, this one is also heading for the tubes. I still say, it's tough to live in a white man's world. Guess it's time for us to adapt to the stone age again........without any hope of growth.
