If my memory serves me right , The Lindhoudt family lived in no 18 , third avenue . till mid 1970's . and ..  I think later on , Francis also worked as a usherette in the Bioscope - , those were the days when going to bioscope was an occasion , and  because of the dimmed lights  the usher , with a torch ,  would take you to your seat

Thanks for the responses. I'll have to check with my Dad about the street address. I'll be returning to Cape Town this January for the first time since my family emigrated to Canada in the mid-1960's. I'm hoping to get in contact with Francis - if anyone can help make the connection that would be great.

Oops .. I posted too fast. I added a picture of a birthday party from our home in Oranjemund. My Mom Anne Hirdes is in the background and my brother Kees is the third boy from the left, but I don't know who the other kids are.
