Oranjemund Town Council Website & The Alexander Bay Faux Pas!

Whilst looking for the Alexander Bay border number, I happened apon the Oranjemund Town Council Website.

Whilst looking at the photo's I could not recognize the Aerial snap of Oranjemund, after living here for more than 45 years, I still could not identify their photo proclaiming to be an aerial shot of Oranjemund, as indicated in the below snap...

After rolling in some old Oranjemunders, Andre & Johan Van As Coetzee, Adriaan Van Rooyen ,who happened to be in the store, we Googled Earth and were amazed to find out that the photo was not Oranjemund as we thought, but Alexander Bay across the river...

I see all the businesses listed depend on Namdeb to survive.
Are there any businesses that generate new money..... can survive without Namdeb.

And therein lies the uncomfp table truth that nobody in the council or the mine want to see...

It matters not how many erven you service, it matters not how many houses you build, there is only one cash source to this remote town....
