Well I guess Riaan is correct , mines are not infinite and will close...

What gets me though, is the  belief that the town will still be a good town to invest in.

A place where one can still reside after the mining comes to a close.

Disposable income in the town has already diminished extensively and once the locals become "normalized" as any other town we are going to see the local economy come crashing down!

Through no fault of anyone on particular, that's just how mines roll......

I think in the long term, perhaps in 10 years from  now we shall see the town establishing herself, sadly by that time the damage will have been completed.

Any person wanting to invest financially in the town will need to have deep pockets ........ it's going to be a rough ride....
