Town Pool Again!

I started to Swim Lengths again this week... My girls are going to the Gala, Cameron is only 6 going on 7 and swims like a 9 year old... Shannon is also a strong swimmer and they put me to shame, so I stopped my 14 months of Lazytime and resumed swimming... I was off today , so the whole family hit the town pool at 10h00 for lengths and a bit of fun... While I was there, I took a few more snaps....

Now Why would I photograph the wall at the deep end? Coz, thats where all the cool kids sat.... especially the bombing brigade......

Michael you are going to have to get those spikes removed....how are we going to climb the wall......

I meant to put a comment with that pic, as you can see the walls are adorned with lovely white SPikes, these were put up once word of the impending reunion spread through the town..... hehehehehe! On a serious note, they have been up for about four years..... but I already marked the spot where people have bent the spikes down ... you will be handed a sat photograph when you arrive here, with those spots circled in red....

One can also host a function or a braai at the town pool these days, birthdays etc... N$40.00 per hour.....

There used to be trees along the wall of the main entrance. Otherwise everthing looks familiar.

Those were the tree's that they took out as the roots were damaging the pool walls!

Sorry folks, but some damn deamon possessed my rum-filled brain and must have forced me to log on and push my finger to that emoticon????????

I remember this pool well . . . it was here, way back in about 1968/69 (approximately?) that Cherry Alcock proposed to me that we go out!!  I recall being so stunned, it took me 35 years to say something!!
