@ Sandy - By all means, if it works, keep on with it!  Please will you look on the thingy the tablets are in if there's any mention of scientific plant names?  I'm curious, for here in SA we call "African wild olive with small greyish leaves" the wild olive, but it could also be "the European olive with broader greenish leaves", and the stuff they contain are different.
We usually use it as a mild remedy for high blood pressure and also like a water tablet to get rid off excess water in the blood, and to help break fever.  The main stuff in it are two chemicals with names that start with "oleo", and also some oily chemicals and some colorful chemicals.  They have been shown to change certain special chemicals in the blood, and also has an effect in removing bad stuff from the cells, so I would think that it works in that way.  It has also been used by local tribes as a gargle for sore throats for ages.
