Melanie Jonker

Hi, I'm Melanie Jonker - Lucille's sister. The woman in the second photo is Lee McDonald (not Kym). Her husband's name was Stuart and their children were Ashley and Collette. They were our next door neighbours in 1st Avenue. They also had a huge Doberman called Battle which used to scare the kids in the neighbourhood.

I remember only too well the dog growling at me , he would run up to you and in most cases he was almost face height to a lot of us kids ... My dad tought me ,,, never look him in the eyes ,dont try and smile , walk  ever  so  slowly past him and dont run ,, but  yes it  was  always  hair raising having  this big dog doing  the  low  growling and  challenging  you ....

Diana Rudd (Boehme)

I remember a Richard Jonker as well
O.P.S -1969, Springfield Convent -1970, Holy Cross Convent-1972., Centaurus-1974
I got around.

Teel

I have e-mailed Richard this site and when I rang him last week he said he had had a quick look but wasn't sure where to find things (not too 'puter savvy is our brother!)  Hopefully he will figure it out and start chatting because most people knew Richard as he was the eldest.  Thanks for correcting me Mel re:  Lee McDonald... I thought it sounded weird as I typed it.  By the way, I have the "Battle" scars from Battle..... a tiny scar on my stomach where he bit me as I tried to scale down the fence into their yard while he was "supposedly" asleep.
