Well its quiet in here  ... Rhona did not even hear you slip out in the early hours .. I was out for the count .. that  hot choc and mallow  and a good sleep seems to have helped me shake off  the last bits of the flu ..  Diana quiet ??   me got a nice  beef and veg stew going ..   the gravy is rich with  mushed carrot onion and celery slowly  braised in butter  ( basic mirepoux forms a good base )  meat cooked through and tender  and now the veg choppd carrots celery taters and some parsnip ... Mmmmm !  supping a nice glass of  red and contemplating the week ahead ...

I was so allergic to work to-day; just counting down the days to shutdown and I'm still tired from the weekend - think it could be an early one for me again tonight - sorry guys! Just no pep in my step at the moment....... If any Bots wandered in - I'd just have to bore them to death with conversation as I haven't even the energy to lift my

Pity technology not there yet, otherwise Sandy could e-mail Rhona a nice plate of home-cooked food.  That should put the pep back in your step!  Sounds lovely.

One plate of  rich beef and veg stew coming up  .. sorry no  dumplings  ..  only my Mom and Dad  knew how to make them  .. me  wreck them each time  .. so a few  slices of  buttered bread to soak up the  gravy  ..  Sluurp !!

Oh and forgot dessert  ..  Fresh guavas  gently stewed in light syrup base with cinnamon and  cloves with a  smidgin of ginger to  just lift it ..
