I am really trying to give up the beer, but it ain't so easy, I was brought up by parents that spent their weekend in the pubs, Braaing and playing music..... it's my off weekend, and I think I'm gonna cave and head on over to SPAR and pick up a few draughts in a can..... and pick up some chicken to make another curry pot on the braai..... I wonder what Michele is gonna say.... anyhow it's all ROd Stewarts Fault...him and Billy Joel.... make me lus for dop!

How about limiting yourself to a beer every now and then for the real lus (when it all gets too much!) and be a good Scots laddie and go over to whiskey? Much better for you!

Well it's the next day..... no worries... I only had a 6 pack.... then I started to eat the curry wors I put on the fire as a starter.... bad move, coz then I don't drink no more..... but heck ... I had 10 hours sleep and feel strong 2day..... mmmh! there's still 12 cans of beer in the fridge......

Went to a boring braai last night .. got home early . bed early .. was up early this morning .. drinking coffeee and ahving a ciggie in the lane watching the Tina dog patrolling up and down growling letting everybody know this is her lane , not a breath of wind , cool early morning and feeling very good about everything ... the jobs I had lined up for the day ?? nah ! they will take second place .. going out for a nice breakfast instead and then let the day play out ... tackle those jobs later .. whenever ......

Nope , the favourite snakepits now demolished for development .. Greenpoint changing dramatically ... new copies just not the same .. and strangely so after having a person that bit more serious and responsible sharing 27 years of your life and then not being there anymore find myself having to wear that mantle of the shared responsibility and adjusting to that .. when all done I will do my forays again .. ( under construction ? )
I still do the late nights/ early mornings with people like my good friend Jan and close friends for now ...

Many more at one stage .. 4 i remember ... anyhow i spent the day so far .. quick factory checkup all running well .. lazy breakfast at " greek " in little Mobray ... got home and have spent the day hopping on and off the net .. sitting quietly in garden . getting slowly pissed .. watering plants .. all at a leisurely pace ...

I think I shall have to change this topic to - I'm bloody well going to........

It is 17h45 and very overcast and grey outside and Mike has just put his speakers outside, opened a beer and lit the braai - I think that is the right order! He has decided to squeeze as much out of his off-week-end as he can.

Unfortunately no potatoes left in the house so he won't be able to try your taters Sandy, unless he goes begging from the neighbours or his in-laws down the road. Not actually sure what he will be braaiing - only for himself anyway as tomorrow being Monday the girls should hopefully be in bed by eight!

He will no doubt be "popping in" later and boasting about his Sunday eve braai!
