Some one tried to scam me on SKYPE.... The bastards...

Try the email  saying you won a lottery ?/ of  XXX euro   huge sum amounting to  about 1.8 mil ZAR ,,    but  you  first have to pay an admin fee  of  XXX euro which amounts to   about  60 000 ZAR  so that the prize can be  processsed ,, Via moneygram nogal ??  ..   I had fun playing with them  .. and also forwarded  it to a friend of mine  who played  with them pretending to be this semi literate   dark gentleman working on littlefoot farm ...  a bunch of very clever nigerians ..    not  clever enough for us .. Oh well give them 10/10 for initiative .. sad part is those who get caught ...

It is sad about those people that get caught, but yeah, if you dumb enough to believe that or the stuff thats written above here, well then all I can say is... sucks to be you. But I do have a theory, personally I think the world is getting dumber, people are not as smart as they use to be.....

Really cool John. The best part is that they didn't realize that u'r onto them and taking the proverbial p**s.

I once got an e-mail from HSBC informing me to update my banking details for their records. I knew immediately this was a phishing scam, because the website that the link took me to started with http and not https like it should have. Secondly I dont bank with HSBC.

Anyway I did my good deed for the day and forwarded the e-mail to HSBC head-office.
Three weeks later I get a reply from HSBC, "thankyou...blah...blah...we'll attend to the matter...blah...blah...would you be interested in opening an account with us?" The bloody cheek of it.

My daughter advertised a brand new playstation for sale in the newspaper with her cell number. She got a call from a Dr. X in Jo'berg saying he wanted it for his son, fine says she make a deposit, which he did. He then kept phoning for her to send the playstation,she kept saying only when your cheque clears. Yes, yes the cheque bounced.
A week or so later they placed the same ad but with her husbands cell, lo and behold if Dr. Y from Jo'berg didn't want it for his son's birthday.  Dr X and Dr Y being the same person.
Shortly after that we read about a scam in the papers involving this modus operandus. At least she was smart about it,I wonder how many other people were scammed out of things in this way?
