Fascinating story by Edward Jay Epstein Mike. A terrific read. Used to be you could view the plane at the mule derby some years. Don't know if it still on display.Had a copy of 'The Diamond Invention' by EJE which I lent to Leake Hangala and was never returned.A good writer. He appears on the movie I sent you recently. Engine for that Aircraft was brought to the Technical collage in town ostensibly or the appies to get running.
Last time I saw it it was being opened up and appeared in perfect condition internally. Would like to know what happened to it after it was opened.

Yip they were friends of my folks..Trudy Hayward was the wife's name,she worked in the shopping centre. Harold worked with my dad at the Engine Bay. They had a son called Anthony.
Now if its Geoff Fairman you on about.....nope I don't know him.
