The blue and red rec club cards

Can you remember those membership cards you got from the rec club . You got them when you turned 18 . All the parents had them. And then you had to produce them before entering sportsmans .
of course i am in shape...i'm round

I remember them, Couldn't get into the pub so I had to climb over the wall.  Didn't realise my parent were in there so I had to get some else to go in and get my drink.

Ja, the cards and they had the doorman, his name is Jason, I say is becuase he's still around and works at the hospital these days, I remember they scrapped the concept shortly thereafter cos we were all getting in anyhow

Those cards ..... If there was a register it would show that alan delaney , denzil weidemann , peter bews and depending on the circumstances neil delaney would have have been there quite often

Yes - I still have mine as "Omund memorabilia" - have my company card as well.
Left Omund in 1979.  8)
OPS 1961-1968. Huguenot High 1969-1973.

Worked in Oranjemund July 1975-March 1979.

Richard, I couldn't help but notice that you were only an 'ordinary member' of the Rec Club ... were there 'extra-ordinary members' too??
