Who remembers the Double Thick Malt Milkshakes and Super Sandwiches.
Waffles with cream or ice cream were also great

It was a sad day when Cora's cafe closed down.

The curry pies were the best, have never found an equivalent yet. Still searching. All the food was great as far as I'm concerned. Remember on some Sundays we would get take aways for supper and my Dad would get bacon and egg sandwhiches (on a hot dog roll). Those dudes were the best.

Never have tried Mike. Only tried braaing the Humble Pie once after the All Blacks lost to SA a week ago. Wasn't successful at all but that's another story. Stay well & regards to all.

Remember Cora's "ein dosie losies", translated into English means "a box of matches". Goodness me that was 38 years ago. What ever happened to Cora and her family?

Hi Mike (Stenson)

Slightly off topic. Thought I'd let you know that your Dad was my foreman and mentor for the 1st year (1970) of my apprenticeship as an auto electrician in the town garage. He was very thorough and always made sure that the work I did was always of high quality. Got into trouble once because when he checked my toolbox there was a spanner missing. Great guy, I remember him well. Is he still with us Mike?
