GCSE (school leaving exams, UK) results.  I won't bore you with details; basically he did it ! HORRAH ! and will be going to college in Sept.  Pleased and proud parent  ;D
Waiting for these was worse than waiting for my own Matric results, is it a parent thing ?

Wow I used to love Friday's, after work I would call in to see my dad at the Sportsmans and have a couple then go home and get ready to go out and hit the town and paint it red.....well, those were the best day's of my life... and now, at 7pm I put all my three kids down to sleep, (no, not like you would a dog, I mean tuck them into their beds...), sigh, then make my way down to the sofa, to watch a bit of telly, and within the space of 10 min, back up to the kids who are running around or crying wanting juice etc......to repeat this over and over again until I fall onto my bed like a zombie...

Gee, for the first time in many moons i walked into the Don tonight expecting a racket.... surprise no Pete, no drunks,maybe i was too early,about 08h30,but who gate crashes the party? Mike Page,i thought i must be off my rocker,maybe the old age home left its gates open,ha only joking,nice seeing you Mike and family,maybe i am getting old......should talk to Percy about retiring......

Adriaan ~ I was probably more surprised than you that I wasn't there!  Problem was that I was resting my body for the Luderitz German Karnival the following night which, looking back, was a damned good thing!

Mike ~ Not the band as such, just Dan and me.  I don't have any fotos of my own, however, some general fotos of the occasion have been promised on one of the company's shared drives.  Haven't been able to find them yet but will keep trying.  There's no doubt that having been involved in LUKA now for 10 years, this was definitely one of the best in terms of spirit and general enjoyment.  I would encourage all Oranjemunders to make an effort to support these highly entertaining weekends in future!
