Hoo boy ! it just gets bigger and the can of worms yields fatter and fatter worms .. on the front page of Sunday Times .. Mbeki took 30 mil and gave some  to JZ ... I'm reading and gobsmacked ,, but then actually not so ...  surprised ? maybe so ??  actually knew deep down that there was more and  Thabob was hiding something ??/ thats a yes seeing the way he protects the worst incompetents under the sun  .. So what  they gonna do now ?? close the Sunday Times down ?? .. change the media bill ?? nothing short of disgusting .. the poorest still suffer while they grow fat on bribes etc ,,never mind the extravagant waste of billions that if used properly could have done a lot more good for our country ... Now if the general populace do not sit up and  say " hey  we been screwed " then  they are indeed  dumber than I ever imagined .. or  will they  say ( and excuse the race card not something I normall bring  into equation )  that its a white mans plot  to dicredit  the ANC ???  lets wait and  see ....

From your posting on Namibian politics appears the other side of the river may become a minefield as well ...  I seee in the papers they now saying Thabob must intervene and tell the judiciary that in the interests of " peace'  in he must tell them to drop the charges  against JZ  or else there will be war .. ???  is that not a terrorist threat ..   I say the riot poice  should maybe do a number on the dumb JZ supporters  disperse them .. time for a firm hand .. let the man have his " day in court ' that is after all what he said  a year or two ago ,, and has since been doing the best to avoid via lawyering at the taxpayers expense .. my disgust runs deep .. maybe time to relook my Brit passport ?? or maybe my   Namibian one .. I can indeed  flash three passports like a roll of  credit cards ..  Brit by direct lineage ... Namibian by birth ,, and SA by  being  part of protectorate  ///   heeelp !!

If I remember correctly
at the time of the election in Namibia
if you didn't apply for a passport the door was closed firmly behind you.

I decided with my British passport in my pocket and my right to SA passport where I lived i would survive.

without declaring Namibian citizenship at that point there was no option for employment ever.

Tough decision but I had traveled to Windhoek to work and travel and experience the land of my birth prior to the elections, and felt ok I'm ready, I'm going back South and never looked back.

Thats what I am watching, the exchange rate.... 7.23 to the $ ... when it gets to 6.99, it's time to open up a bank account in the UK, and move some $$$ over there, coz when JZ and his boys start their shit.... the Rand is gonna freefall.......

As for the passport, Namibia only recognises one passport, although most Germans up here have two, just keep quiet about it..... But last week in the Namibian newspaper, the was a landmark court ruling, where the constitution does not actually say that you may not have dual nationality.... A woman won her case to be both ZA and Nam, thus opening up a whole can of worms.... even though you remounce your Birthright passport, in my case ZA, to obtain a Namibian, under UN law, you can never be denied your birthright.....

I have dual citizenship, having Aussie and South African passports.  Is this still allowed?

I heard that the new enlightened SA government was considering banning dual citizenships.

Perhaps I should apply for Namibian citizenship, having lived there for 8 years . . . . .
