300 held for paramilitary acts

Durban - At least 300 people were arrested near the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal for paramilitary activities on Friday, police said.

Police spokesperson Superintendent Jay Naicker said that the 300 were part of a group called the South African Unintegrated Forces group and had been training at a camp called the Mlaba Camp.

The arrests were undertaken early on Friday and those arrested were taken to the Mahlabatini police station.

He said they were expected to appear in court on Monday charged with contravening the Criminal Law Second Amendment Act of 1992 which prohibits the training of people for "the conducting of any military, paramilitary or similar operation".

On Wednesday the Mercury newspaper reported that there were as many as 600 former Inkatha Freedom Party self-protection unit members undergoing military training at the camp."

Heard it on the news this morning .. indeed  an  interesting  development ..  lots going on under the surface  ...

Remembered this  article  that a friend sent  I saved  it  then ..  possibly has some bearing on the "complexities " and yes  stuff bubbling under the surface  read  and comment ...

With all the mooning  you   kind  remind  me of Joanna  Lumley  in abfab  .. the  show  showing  many years later  . theres  old Joanna  quite addled by  too many bottles of Bollinger   . her  Mum  looking  quite chipper cos all she  ever drank was  tea ..    in the one  scene Joanna  tries  to walk and  her Broeks  keep on coming  off  ..  Is  that  the  actuall problem  Hon ??

Quite  fine  Paula  .. quite fine ..  at  east  you can  run now hey??  nothing slows  one  down   more than   broeks  sliding  down to your knees   .. or  worse case  scenarion  trips  you  up if  they fall  below the knees ..   so now  not only  can you be a mooner  you  can  also  be a  streaker ..
