It is with great heartache that I write this message. My sister, Suna Engelbrecht, passed away peacefully at the Bloemfontein Mediclinic last night at 19:15. Mike, please add her to the lost diamonds list. Will be departing for Koffiefontein on Sunday as the funeral is on Tuesday next week. Feels like my life is in a million pieces at the moment.

I am really sorry to hear about the loss of Suna.  I still have very fond memories of her.  Liezl and I used to do horse riding together and she worked with my mom at the shopping centre.

My heart always drops when i hear of someone going through loss .. it just brings our mortality into the fore again .. Charmain from the darkness of the time now the light will shine through the clouds  when all is  ready and right again .. take your time to mourn  and heal  and then  you will be able  to celebrate the life of  your lost one looking back finally in fondness  and good memoryand not in  pain ..   Sandy

Hi Everyone

Thank you for the messages of condolences. I will relay the messages to my brother in law and the children when I arrive in Koffiefontein on Sunday. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday morning at 10:00. Her wish was to be cremated and that is exactly what will be done for her. Sandy, thank you for your encouraging words, I will keep that in mind all the way. This is going to be a very long and painful trip to Koffiefontein, in the past she used to sms me all the way, tracking where I was and working out an ETA for me. She not only suffered from emphysema, but also had bad osteophirosis, was in pain all the way. Eddie spoke to me last night, was totally cut up, but time will heal, I will never forget her, she was after all the mother I never had.
