Well it has eventually arrived in Oranjemund... I was rushing to sign up for the 2 gig package when I read the small print...it's a friggin 2 year contract... so if you don't like the service after 3 months or you are planning to leave ..you have to pay bag this monopoly called Telcom N$324.00 for every month left....

They can stick their ADSL...viva Dial up.... Viva ISDN...

Is there not a 3g signal in Omund with that you can connect anywere anytime and you have broadband speeds!

We have an ADSL conection at home and it costs us R200.00 per month with 1 gig download. We have nver exceeded our limit yet.

I have a 3GIG bundle package with MTN, account usually in the region of R 600, received an account yesterday for R 2400, hope it is a mistake otherwise Wilhelm is going to have a fit.

I'm very happy with my 3g Vodacom adsl, cost R499.00 per month. This is myself and my daughter using time each month (mind you she pays it,as its her computer). If we move we just tag it along with us. Not exactly sure  about R400 something.

@Florrie  , is'nt that that gig meant to be a 3G  ......   in NAM , we have 1,2,5 and 10 Gig packages..... and I think you might be paying R2400.00

I have'nt got a problem with the price of the package, just the terms of the contract....... me being a difficult bastard....

I bought my 3g moden cash now I pay R400 monthly for 2gigs and it is a pay as you go system so if I dont want it I dont buy it no contracts

I have the two year contract with Telkom Mike - haven't had a problem with them at all.  In fact 7 days before the 1yr guarantee ran out my ADSL router, it blew because of the power cuts and Telom replaced it with a brand new one and a further year's guarantee.

@ Mike, you are correct, 3G but 2GIG. My contract is R75/month for 2 years and then I asked for 2GIG monthly which I may cancel at anytime.
