The Bowling Club Numbers!

As Most of you know....the town's population is diminishing..... Sheena, I heard that once you leave at the end of November, there will only be two active members  at the bowling club..... I heard Coreen Swanepoel is also going.....

So far 138 employees have been given the VS packages.... ( This is what I have heard, not what the company has stated).....

I am a member :) But I just go there for the bar....  does that count as being an " active" member?

Um...... we are active members and I can think of the at least eight other active members, so those that are leaving will be missed I am sure.

There are still a number of members left when we leave, but most of them have not been active for a while.  Hopefully everyone will stick together and keep the game active.
I am going to be leaving this little town of ours with a sad face, but I know the time has come for us to move on to new pastures.  I will sorely miss Oranjemund and all my bowling and Spar friends.  I think when someone has lived in a town for as long as we have, it is always difficult to say bye to the town and your friends.
Skinny is correct in saying there are still a number of members staying.  Time you took up bowls Mike!!!!!

We have cold  and a braai and have good fun, when we get together. I am sorry that Sheena is leaving but I understand that she needs to be in WIndhoek for playing bowls as she will not get far staying in OMD. If Corienne leaves, we will be looking for a new Chairman and committee, so how about it? Can I nominate you?

I hope that the remaining members of the Bowling Club will be able to stick together and keep the club going.  There is a lot of potential in the club, but the members must now get their act togother and make the club work for them.  It is a pity that in the year the club lost and is losing a lot of members, but all is not lost. 
I have been asked in Windhoek in the last 2 months what will happen with the Oranjemund Bowling Club, most of the people here are of the opinion that the club will close.  So come on all the remaining members, show the guys here in Windhoek that the club will keep going and still produce good bowls.

To all the remaining members, whenever you need help from the NBA, please contact me as I have now accepted the Comp Sec position on NBA.
