Hi Mike ~

I would have thought that you and your very efficient roving camera would have posted something about this weekend's phenomenally successful golf weekend.  The brilliant sponsorship attracted a field of 120 players, unprecedented in recent years.  I'm told that all the visitors (many of whom were visiting for the first time) as well as "returness" were "blown away" by the town, its facilities, the people and the whole vibe.  Let's not get swept away in the tide of gloom and overlook the good, positive, stuff that is happening all the time, too.

A field of 120, that's great!  Who knows - maybe in the future - televised, with sponsors, etc!

Hi Pete, yep! Yep!, Arthur and Jacques were the catering company, running it from the Bakery at Spar, so Michele and I were bound to the store this weekend.....

I had one lady from Windhoek, who's husband plays golf for Namibia in the Spar office on Saturday.... she to was blown away by Omund...the gemsboks... and alles......

Now if only we could find a way to fill up the empty houses.....

Great to see the Oranjemunders that are left still Know how to host a sporting event. We were always known, back in the day, as excellent hosts creating a very good vibe. Sports teams always wanted to come back.

bravo to a job well done.

I think we should all say thanks to Shell Namibia for sponsoring this event every year.
