Proclamation!

I hate to skin a dead cat here, but I was requested by a concerned resident to enquire if anyone knew anything more about what happened to the future proclamation of our town..... The whole "concept" has gone quiet, very quiet.....

From My part, or should I say a source, Who informed me a few weeks ago, that proclamation would not be happening for a good few years(7)..... due to the fact that there happens to be a fairly large diamond project in the pipeline at Sendelingsdrift..... now in order for the town to qualify for the "proclamation" status, the road that goes along the North bank needs to be proclaimed ..... this will not be happening, as the mine still has a few rich diamond deposits to mine before allowing "Joe Soap" to use the road.....

Thats my 2 cents from a source in the industry....

I received an e-mail from OTM Co stating that they can not guarantee the proclamation of Oranjemund. e-mail send to me beginning of April 2009. So what the f$%^& are they doing? Wasting Namdeb's money and bullsh**&^% us? Open the road from Luderitz, that will help the tourist industry.! Maybe we can go to the Beerfest in Luderitz quicker.
