Heard from my workers who stay at the Baghdad Hostel to the west of town, that a joint operation between, Nadeb Security, Nampol and the Dept of Mines and energy occured at 12h00 last night. The aim was to seek and detain illegal aliens in Oranjemund. I am not sure of the numbers or if any were detained. Will wait and hear.

At least this is positive news, a number of illegal people wandering the streets will only lead to problems...

I hear that it was not only the one hostel, but the all the hostels...... I also hear that the traffic department were catching people jumping stop streets at 05h00 this morning at the 4 way stop on the way to the checkpoint.......

It's nice to hear that the powers that be are putting words into actions....

Sure fire way  to do  it  .. regular  raids  and road blocks ...  its amazing what  gets caught  in the web ,,,   we had a few  in the waterfront since a brazen  daylight robbery at a jewellry  shop right next door to the  Vic and Alf hotel last week ..  every shop owner should have a silent panic button ... and  any alarm the watertfront gets closed down ..  OR Tambo airport   all exits  have these spike things that  jump up  and rip tyres to shreds ...  catch  the buggers out of  direct public where they can create  hostage situations and  aprehend ..

A source informed me that more than 15 illegals were removed from the Town and were put onto a bus and "dumped" at Rosh Pinah..

:emot19_2:

Anyone confirm this.....?

Informant was awoken at 03h00 this morning by the raid at Swartkops Hostel.

Damn traffic should check the b*ggers jumping the 4 way stops along 8th Street, between 5th Avenue and Industrial Road (x3). Some folk just drive straight through all without even slowing... never mind stop. Oh yes,... that takes effort to apply brakes...

All things electrical contain smoke. Making it come out is easy; getting it back in? ... yeah right!!!

Did you not know Brakes are only used for emergencies

We caught one of my workers Jesaya Tetela stealing sigarettes out of my office. He denied it even when we showed him the camera footage. The Theusday after that I suspect he broke into my house. When the Police saw the footage they asked the host to cancel his permit. He was one, after many years legally in Oranjemund, to get a free lift to Rosh Pinah. My thanks to the Police and whom ever, for taking him out of town.

It seems not everybody was happy with the raid....

Ag Shame ,, that is on the bleeding hearts ,,,  NO PAPERS  NO STAY ..    we all have to apply .. and yes I was even subjected to body  and vehicle search  upon entering  despite it being crammed  with 4 of us and luggage ..... now how did these illegals get in ?? the greased palm  ?? or just plain simple  .. well you know ..

Don't you guys have CCTV in Capetown???

Well flogging a dead horse, but heard rumblings today that the masses of people heading into Omund for next weeks big event are arriving at the gates without any clearances or ID and are obtaining access to the town......not through any fault of Namdeb, but due to government insisting that all should be allowed to enter..... the problem is .... how many elements are gonna cause problems and how many are not going to leave, making the above mentioned topic / excercise null and void.......
