I had heard about this newcomer to our town. and headed on over to the hockey field to see if I could get a snap of him and his folks......

It's always nice to see newborns out with their folks, I nclude a few snaps of the tree's in the area....

So cute .. the  gemmies  are indeed lucky to have our town and its lush lawns to graze upon ... and yes  coexist in harmony with the human populace ,, ...

Compared  to the now  war between  humans and baboons ..  sadly so its the humans that moved into the baboons territory ... and yes have  also created the association between  human feeding  them ..( the misguided ones ) I must say I secretly admire the buggers .. they even know how to lift out aluminium sliding doors  and break into homes ..  and now even emulate human behaviour in the sense of mugging hikers ... pretty much the same scenario as happens  on table mountain excepting its humans robbing humans and taking valuables .. I recall the one story of a troop of  baboons that held up a lot of hikers.. the alpha boy  kind of demanded their rucksacks with food in them .. but yes its not pleasant .. we as humanity still have lots of lessons to learn ..
