Today the test for the Ashes begin!!!! we are getting it live here and they are 93 for 3.

Anyone have a comment on this subject THIS IS CRICKET..................................................................

Slightly better now for ENGLAND - 288 for 5. Unfortunately I wont be able to watch much of the cricket. Enjoy, Frank!

Thanks Bertie on the news this morning they said the honours were even England 336 for 7.

I'm able to watch a few hours at night time but then the Oveltine and rum kicks in, and on another channel

they have the Tour De France live Jeez its not doing my beauty sleep much good.

Sorry Patricia, don't think Lance will make it again, he had too long a break.

As to the Ashes, I see KP is up to his old tricks again. going out to an easy catch. This is starting to be his trade mark of getting out. Over the years, I've seen him be dismissed this way on numerous occasions...................

Mike Jenny !! would not count Lance Armstrong out just yet he just missed winning the yellow jersey the other day.

My favourite is Cadel Evans 2007-8 runner up.........well he is an aussie..............................I have probable just put the jinx on him.......

I only saw a glimpse of the cricket on Sky News, showing how KP was dismissed.
As for 5 day test cricket, I'm not that interested, I prefer ODI's & 20 20 games, they are less boring.
I always remember Geoff Boycott scoring about one run per hour (OK maybe more) when playing foe England years ago.

Boycott...................you could watch the grass grow when he was at the crease, and got to say I like all forms of the game
was a bit iffy when the 20 20 started !! if you get to the ground late it could all be over.

I did hear some where that he was not a nice feller (Boycott) he was convicted of hitting a former lady friend (you Don't hit ladies they will hit you back) and the great Fred Trueman once said about him this is the quote 'If Geoffrey had played cricket the way he talked he would have had people queuing up to get into the ground instead of queuing up to leave'

Don't worry Frank, I'm sure the Aussies will bounce back but it is nice to see them get beat once in a while.................
