Hello Mike!! yes the cricket sager will continue and there has to be a winner and a loser, on the news this morning they were saying Australia had dropped to forth in the cricket ranking.

They have some Young guns that were tested and on the whole did OK away from home.

We are off again today down to the Gold coast as its Sophie's birthday on Wednesday she will be 10years old  will be there till next week then back on our travels (to recuperate from to kids) its great seeing them but nice to hand them back.

This is still Winter here and our weather this last few days have broken records 34 degrees 'phew' and hotter in other parts of the state.

Mike Voden (RIP)

Hi Frank,

I saw most of the second half and thought that if there were another five minutes on the clock, it would have been a close call, Although saying that with my interest and knowledge of the game, I'm sure I'll be shot down by the locals here.

So how was the leave and hot weather...........?????????

The first half of the Rugby was woeful by the Australians Mike!!
and we are all experts after the game SA were up two try's in the first 15 minutes.

These were quotes from the pundits.

When Kiwi referee Bryce Lawrence awarded the Boks a penalty inside the Australia 22 metre zone, the Wallabies assumed Morne Steyn would kick for goal and they turned their backs. Fourie du Preez sensed an opportunity to catch them napping and he scored the first of their four tries.

We challenged the Springboks to drop their relentless kicking game and run the ball, and that's what they did last weekend in Perth.

It was a great game from SA very clinical and entertaining...............................................................................

Our mini holiday was spent mostly with the kids down on the gold coast, Sophie the oldest had her 10th birthday while we were there, had some time with our two sons living in Brisbane, went for a game of bare foot bowls enjoyed.

Thinking of taken it up here in the bay, there are a lot of bowls clubs here, then the rest of the time we spent in the caravan at this beautiful spot set amongst the Gympie hills recuperating !!! ( four kids) Aaaaarrrr.

The site is run by an ex Vietnam Veteran very very peaceful just old fogies sitting around an open fire swapping war story's.

The weather went wild at the back end of the month might have to rethink this global warming from min temp 8c to 35c................... image04
