However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible.


The names used in the Bible are Babylon , Land of Shinar , and Mesopotamia ... The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris And Euphrates Rivers ..

The name Iraq means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel , has more history and prophecy associated

With it than Iraq

  .....but wait there's more...its seems the only people doing the rejoicing are the oil captains and the war industry elite...wait until the eagle comings knocking on your door..why do i say that ? Read the American national First Strike Policy ..just hope you dont find some oil in your backyard ...

Very true Andrew sugar cane was grown on the land my house is built on but we are in an area where coal and oil are, and as we only own the first few feet of surface land then its all up for grabs .

There is a place in NSW that's in the news today, prime agricultural land being sort after by the big mining company's, they want to take the coal out and then give the land back to the farmers.

Trouble is this land has aquifers that make the soil so productive, the mining company's will destroy these in their operations (they say they won't) and its not that this is the only place they can get the stuff (Australia has that much resources we have not even scratched the surface) its because the rail link is accessible to them in that area.................Frank.
