Hi Nicky

I was at the beauty salon early this morning for a facial.  Whilst I was lying and relaxing the beautician changed the cd's around and what started playing?  The very first piece of music that put George Zamfir on the map.  Your father, Bob, still gave the cassette many years ago.  It is so amazing that this specific piece of music was played

Hi again Charmain, that was quite a coincidence I must say. Yes, my Dad always did like his music. He had a large collection, not to mention variety. It is funny how certain things in life can take you back in time and conjure up old memories. Music always does it to me, so too do certain smells or scents.

George Zamfir ..  the  pan  flutes I even  bought one  but   gave  up  when  my lips  were  raw   from  trying to  master   them !   haunting  emotion  pulling sound .. apart  from  the  usual   commercial  or  popular  he played  I  bought  a  Vinyl  many years ago on  which  he  had  the  theme  from  picnic  at  hanging  rock  and  quite  a bit  of  traditional   .. remember  that  disturbing  movie ??  lost forever  in  a  house  fire  ..  actually  must  look  on the  net  to see  if  its  maybe available on disc ..

Hi Sandy, My Dad took me to see Picnic At hanging Rock, and I have a Feeling that it may have been that soundtrack that prompted him to Purchase the George Zamfir collection. You are right on the button about that haunting sound ...
