   Why does my computer keep freezing or hanging. Sometimes says not responding.
I regularly delete browsing history,disc clean up and defragment. I have bitdefender 2010 and is regularly updated. I'm getting peeved rebooting every 5min. Is this a major thing before I call the computer man in.

Freezing you say?  Take it out the Deepfreeze......!

er.... on a serious note..... one of the two reasons for your pc hanging, will be the cpu overheating or a memory problem... but more than likely over heating, unplug your pc....

Take a sip of wine...

Remove the side cover....

Take a sip of wine.....

See if the fan that goes on the CPU is not blocked by dust...., if it is, get your hands on a blower and blow her out....

See if there is dust build up on the memory modules?
If there is, gently remove them and wipe them clean and use a blower to blow out any dust, re insert the modules.....

Take a sip of wine.....

One everything has been blown out and put back in place, before replacing the cover, power the machine up and see if the fan on the CPU is actually working!

It might also be the case that the fan is aging and not running at 2400 rpm this could cause the cpu to overheat and is a common cause of a machine freezing, I in fact replaced my cpu fan about  2 months ago, costs 30 bucks...

Just cleaned mine.... hic.... itsh working great, thanksh... hic...  but shcreen eesh a bit blurry and shwinging from shide to shide....

I tried cleaning my comp fan last night got my finger stuck in it......................... now I've got three stitches nobody said you must put the computer of before attempting this task
