What Gives with the Water Pressure in this Town?

I am getting really fed up with the water pressure in this town, it appears that the only viable time to have a shower or water the garden is between the hours of 01h00 till 05h30. This is when the water pressure in the town is at it's peak, I cannot shower in a shower where the pressure from my early morning wake up piss is about 8 times more powerful than the stream emerging from my shower head....

I battle to water my lawns as there is never sufficient pressure in the system, WHAT GIVES? I never remembered the pressure of the water in this town being so weak, is the system failing us again? How on earth did the GM manage to wash that mini bus with such low water pressure........

What ever happened to the pump station on the edge of town ? mind you thats going back to the 70s,I was the electrician that installed that station which was supposed to raise the water pressure in town.  Does the town have a water tower yet thats the solution.

@ John, yes the booster pumps and the 4 reservoirs are still there and operational.

I stand to be corrected but a source informed me that there are problems with the pumps inthe Fellman Well. The Sangus pumps that were installed have reached the end of their usable life and where posible overhauls have been done in the past to extend the lifespan. These overhauls have now got to the point where replacement of the complete pump is the only solution... bigger problem is the cost of replacement and who's got money in their wallets?

I also understand that when there has been an extended power interruption to the pumps or they have stood for a good few hours it takes up to a week to recover completely. The boosters are stopped later at night to allow the town and Swartkops reservoir levels to  pick up before the start of the next day. The boosters are started again early in the morning. This was a procedure we used at Town Electric days in the early 90's when there were water supply problems.

No prob with water pressure in this town  ( Zilleville ) ...   my garden hose fittings continually blowing ...  the geyser  pressure break valve  drips at times cos it cant  cope ...
