DEATH OF FIONA COYNE

Read the news 24 article on the death of Fiona Coyne .. a very  sad scenario ,, she took her life  because of her fear of failure and fear of growing old alone, amongst others.
I know that  the path  of life  has  its crosses  that we all at times  have to carry ,, and that yes  I'm sure that  at some or other time in our lives path we have  encountered ,  the fear of failiing  or  being  lonely , at times  even having had the experiences  of it ...
More  so  for  someone who is successful the  height of a fall can seem really  big ,,,,
I just ask  why did she not reach out ,, talk her  fear openly with  friends or confidantes ??
Reframe her situation by looking around and seeing folk in far worse and less  priveleged situations ,  lonely abandoned  yet managing to soldier on ??
I have  two  expressions that i embrace ,,, Adopt the attitude of  gratitude ...  and  count  your blessings and not your regrets ,, they serve  me well ...
Its  just so  sad and so unnecessary ...

I go along with your sentiments Sandy. Depression lies just under the surface of our society's and I think we all know of someone that suffers from this illness. Sometimes no matter what you do to protect them they slip through the net, and as you say.............................Its  just so  sad and so unnecessary.

Very sad; she was an awesome person.  She wrote the script for my jazz competition final production, Taliep Pietersen did the music and Gavin Rajah the costumes and she adapted the script to the music/outfits theme so well.  She will be missed.
