Rumours are abound that we are heading for 8 consecutive Sunday Power cuts as Eskom needs to replace an entire electrical feeder line.

The dates have yet to be confirmed...... Spar has a Genset, so we shall still be operational..... and Mike Alexander is just thinking about 8 consecutive Sundays with Braai's..........

Sigh! It's tough living in Africa...

During my time the braai wood to use was old split fencing planks.....after about 10 years in the sun it had no more tar in it and the coals were the best ever. Sunday and Saturdays were often spent in the scrapyard to find these...also when town maintenance started with a fence replacement the owner would watch over his old fence like a hawk...in most instances the gang never even had to take these away! Is it Spar Charcoal that is in use these days?
