Wonder how much National Geographic magazines - all of them - from 1963 to current, would be worth?
Or my 3 or 4 "Trompie en die boksombende" books!!!!  Toilet-Reading

What about comics?  Richie Rich, Little Lotta, Casper, Hot Stuff, Wendy, .. and most of them had those ads in the back where you can order those "shrimp people"... little did I know it was the same creatures swimming in the shallows of the pink pan at the Yacht club!!!
Those were the days!
Mike, I remember at one stage I was so mad about the Asterix books at the library - couldn't wait to go check if there was a new one to take out!!!  Absolutely loved it.
Remember those small Reader's Digest books/paperbacks?  Hope Mrs. Bruwer isn't reading this post because.....   I used to get all my news and "books that I read" reports from those little miracle books - saved my but a million times!!!!   Mrs. Bruwer:  image19

As for Casper , Richie Rich, Sad Sack, Archie, I have managed to find a number of those comics in pdf format on the internet..... you get a program called cbr reader....

I also have a number of the BAttle picture comics....

We actually still stock a few readers digests in the Spar, now and again!
