The Tank Farm Pipeline!

For those of you that are unfamiliar with this part of the mine's history.... Back in the day, the mine imported the fuel to run the mine directly from Rotterdam. They had an undersea pipeline constructed  from an offshore platform, to a tank farm just off the beach..... the ships would line up with the help of grid beacons placed on the mine dumps..... this system worked quite well for a few decades.

The following snaps deal with the construction of that pipeline, the people and the achievement....

Right! You mob out there, if any you have old Oranjemund snaps, be it of houses, people, grass, yachts, golf.mine machines, plants..... please make the effort to get them onto the forum, as we are all getting older, and time waits for none of us.....  we don't want the history of this town and the mine to vanish with us..... at least once it is online, it shall be preserved....
