This is a rumour, not sure if anyone can verify this as I heard it from a source in the Cape of all places....

Seem's that the mine might be interested in restarting the apprenticeship training again! Good call by my books......

Why  the feck  did  tis dismantling of apprenticeship occur ?? In SA  they set  up SETA's ,, inefficient , not knowing whats going on ... the backbone of any economy  is  production output , to sustain it one needs technical skills ..  1 + 1 = 2  and they misss the plot , apprenticship programs have always worked so why tamper  with somethjing that works ??  but then  we now have  learners and educators ,, it has not changed a thing  , just trying to mask the bad  odour of incompetence  by renaming things ...  everything the ANC has  touched that works  is now unworkable  barring  tax collection ...
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .

That's great news. When did apprenticeship training stop in OMD? 1994 judging by the prizewinners' notice board. See I am on the board.
