Yes, awesome pics, the top one of the Alex Bay plant in the mist.....well it reminds me of Kolmanskop in a way... Anyone else?

Looks spooky....couldn't quite make out what building it was over the river, also thought it was somewhere in kolmanskop..an amazing picture x

swimming  in that sea ?? I know at times it was safe but at other  times the undertow was  vicious ...

and yes the Alex bay  plant ... I assume its now not operational ??

There is a lot of sand that has built up under the waves these days, especially down towards the river mouth..... in fact there is a channel that runs parallel to the beach and then about 6 metres into the sea, you hit this sandbar that lies just beneath the sand, that sandbar  must be about 20m wide and then you get the big surf.......

Not sure if the Alex bay plant is operational, I do know that they made a profit for the first time last year..... first in a number of years...
