How many can fit into a Golf?

I believe there was a minor car accident on 8th avenue on Saturday evening, seem's a chap racing up the drag was'nt that keen on stopping at the STOP streets.... had a mishap.... anyhow , our local law enforcement rocked up in the undercover red golf , and a total of 6 officers disembarked from the small craft.....

Not too sure what the load limit is for this type of vehicle....  Anyone else have any more details on the incident, please feel free to post....
