Grave Times down at the local graveyard!

Of late I have a heard a number of customers mumbling on the floor of the local Spar about the state of the local Graveyards!

it would appear that neither the local council nor the mine are willing to take responsibility for the upkeep of these sacred yards!

It does not take much to maintain a graveyard in the desert and I have personally been embarrassed when old Oranjemunders return to the township for a nostalgic visit and get rather upset to see the condition of the  final resting places of many of their friends and family.....

I recall a few years back, one of the local churches, I think the NGK, had had enough waiting around and took the bull by the horns and arranged their own cleanup of the graves!

Sad to see this sorry state of affairs, seeing as we all have to die one day!
