My mom always ironed the front flap of the hat down. Why,the Lord only knows. As young as we were ,we knew we looked like dorks.
I got the sizing a bit small, wanted to show that hugh plastic house badge we wore back then.
Mike I haven't quite mastered the art yet,so will be throwing you dead with oop'ses first  THEN the shower of picture postings.I might add I had never been on a computer untill this forum started, now well............you stuck with me I'm afraid.

Those hats!!!  Mine used to be in a permanent state of "flatness"-  just stashed it into my schoolcase with all the books and closed the lid.  My mom tried to steam and starch it at some stage just to get it back into some acceptable shape again, but I buggered up all her hard work again by the next afternoon.
Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier. Friendship is a sheltering tree.

To be clever enough to get a great deal of money, one must be stupid enough to want it.

Those who bring sunshine to the lives of other cannot keep it from themselves.

Re the pictures of school as seen by Mike.

Thank you, I agree the new colour scheme is beautiful - the library seems to me to be exactly the same, I remember it being new in my day.

The hall looks very shiny, and I like the blue - I was in Oppenheimer, but think that the color is relaxing and must be very cool in the light of day with the sun beating down.

The question I have today is the one of the kids with the big horns, if I'm not mistaken a german tradition, where they filled with sweets.  Who provides them and is it a new tradition.
