Did the post boxes used to be green when we were little - in the 70's?  As far as I remember we were P.O.Box 777 while the Alexanders were 422, and the best thing to arrive regularly was the newspaper from Scotland with a stack of 'animal bars' wrapped inside....enough to be shared......thanks Uncle Jack

Gee! Rhona, nothing wrong with your memory.... They were indeed Green and we were 422, in fact Jock still has 422....  38 years later........ As for the chocolates in the post, those were awesome and we got comics from Scotland, tthe Beezer, The Beano and The Topper. sometimes the Dandy also.... did you ever remember those SHerberts we got, with the Liquorice tube as a straw?
