Is that family of Roy Fields who used to play in a band?  I used to (play) the drums with him and people such as Iggy van Greunen, Jan van Stadden , Tony Hockney, Allen Brown (where is he then?), Brian Broley, Des Stumf and Pieter Smal.

Yes! John, that would be the daughters of roy and Mavis Fields.... Roy played the trumpet in those days.....

Hi Alain.....yes I do remember you...you lived a few houses away.  We were at no. 62 and you hung around with my big sister...lesley (i think she was dating Aaron Ainsworth at the time.

Dont know if you have seen my postings on here, but i went to see mavis fields last september, now i didnt know any of the girls, i onlyknew Steven, Roy has died but Mavis is no different to the last time i saw her in the 60's, my mum and dad were very good friends of the fields, and they did come to visit us in england. I know mavis is movning to Austrailia to 1 of her daughters but nothing had been planned.
I was on 2nd ave and left O/M in 67 opposite nicolene barratt and sandy buchannon.
Its been a dream, of mine to see these old friends again....if they remebered me......i found 6 of them last year....flew out to cape town, where they were all lived, and had the best time ever rekindling our friendships from 40 years ago.
now i would love to plan a big reunion for all us ex O/M'ers,

Ollie Reid stay's next door to Mavis Fields in the Caravan Park in Melkbosstrand, I emailed her to ask her to go and ask Mavis for contact details of the girls..... She is busy with it.... Will post updates...

hello small world....my mom does live near mavis and they gather for tea regularly. mavis was appointed cheif judge in my dad's piss-cat-torial club which was run from the back garden that backed onto the little river that runs through melkbos. i visited a couple of years back and spoke a lot about the girls. shelley is living in sydney, north of the harbour and is making a living as a kids party planner. if i remember correctly she goes out as a fairy and entertains children at birthday parties. i will be back in august and will get more details for her. i will keep you all posted.
