I remember this lady with fondness from the early years of my Oranjemund stay. What got my attention in reading this article though, was that Sister Fry (as I knew her) was at the Booth Memorial Hospital Maternity section up until June 1948 which is where and when I was born. Small world I guess.

RIP dear lady.

Dear  sister Martha ,, loved   as a good nurse , sister  and  carer of the ill  and  yes in my recollection and unusual character ... I recall  her last year  or so  of life seeing this  lively and yes still trying to hang onto reality ( she had a brain tumour  as far as I understand )  wandering around town trying  to appear normal but yes falling out of the reality .. ,, dear Sister   remebered well  and yes again as i did years  ago  wish you  rest with the angels ...
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .

Lovely person as was he husband Bill. She brought our daughter into the world on 2 August 1969.
