Here's my camel too.
Funny story behind this camel. Took my son to a game farm outside Kimberley for his 10th birthday. This camel fell in love with the game drive vehicle, got so excited when he saw us and chased us with foam flying out of his mouth. When he got alongside the vehicle, he was galloping along, fat tongue sticking out the side of his mouth, spit flying everywhere, he had me crying in fits of laughter. He would then get tired and stop. Two minutes later, he would get a second breath and come galloping after us again. Made the whole occasion very memorable.

I was happy to see this topic as I got my new car on Thursday. A Honda Jazz 1.5 VTEC. This has to be the car that is the best value for money by far. It has scored the highest rating in the JD Power survey for the past 4 years. It is automatic with a normal drive, sporty drive or low drive. You don't feel or hear the gears changing like in most other automatics. If you rather want to drive in manual, you press a button on the steering wheel and then you have 2 levers on the steering wheel, one you gear up on, the other down (just like the racing cars). The sound of the cd/radio is out of this world. There are also buttons on the steering for changing the cd/radio, volume etc. It has central locking, the driver can lock all the doors but there is also a normal  locking mechanism if each person wants to manually unlock their own door. The windows are also electric with the driver being able to open or lock all the other windows too. Apart from the normal inside light, there are also map lights in front. There are cup holders, a trip counter that also shows the petrol consumption, a button that you can press and the side mirrors fold against the side of the car. An alarm beeps if you open the door and you haven't switched off the lights. A green light flashes to remind you remove your keys. There is a mirror on both front sun visors. If you unlock your car, the inside light comes on automatically and goes off once you have started your car. The car looks small but is so spacious. Has a lot of head room, my husband is very big but fits very comfotably into my car, he loves driving it. It has a huge boot with a cover that can hide what is lying in the boot. The back seats can fold down or up individually or both. It has power steering, ABS brakes, stability control. All in all, it has everything that my husband's Nissan Patrol had, except for cruise control, but cost a quarter of the price. This is my second Jazz. The first one is 3 years old and has been passed on to my daughter, not one single complaint ever in the 3 years I drove it. Prior to that I had a Hnda Ballade 150i. It was as old as my son when I passed it on to him and he will never part with it.That car was also way ahead of its time. I am a committed Honda fan and anyone who has driven a Honda will tell you, once you have owned a Honda, you never want to own anything else.

I have a Mazda 2 lovely car to drive and has all the mod cons. It also has duel gears, but i dont use the manual only the automatic. It will be three years old in September and I will be getting a new one. It is my 50th this year so am deciding wether to go for a mazda convertable (I will seee because when i wanted to get one 3 years ago my father said what about me) I drive him around and so he needs a car which he doesn't have to stuggle to get into.  :emot186:

We drive a Golf 2005, had the newest low emission, drives with regular Petrol

Now our Petrol companies have raised the price for regular, costing the same as super.

Our super clever Minister for Enviroment has decided to mix alcohol to the petrol, that means all cars build before 2006 must fuel up with the very expensive super plus that came to the market for very old cars running with leded fuel.

However, the minister knows it better then the manufacturer, he claims that my car ´can run with that new additive,

Volkswagen however denies that,

Minister says thats not true.

We have reached the stage where dummies rule just with the stomach, i say arrogant idots just deciding without knowing. It scares me more and more.

So you down south have some Id..... we have them too
Problem is many here follow those arguments and vote for them just beleiving blind what is said

I once asked a question here in the forum about CO2. I have not received any answer.

That shows, TV can tell people any sh.... and they beleive it. Actually i was disappointed not to find an answer here or at least some thought about it.

To question is, CO2 is claimed to be the killer of the climate. Lets beleive that for a moment.

They also say that for example a car using about 7-8 L / 100 km, produces 120 gramm CO2/ km

That would make 12 KG of CO2 / 100 km

Hows that 7 kg fuel turn in 12kg gas

Also: CO2 is heavy and stays on the ground, i hear it goes high up in the Atmosphere

Next thing: Heating plants used to be accepted with a 8 % CO2 output,

Here by law the CO2 must be increased to about 14 % Any one to figure that logic ???

Our atomic plants will be switched off and be replaced by Coal and gas to share the base load

I agree nuke is a problem but this way CO2 will increase instead of decreasing, nuke produces no CO2 apart from other real problems.

I am Interested to hear from all would be enviroment protectors that repeat all that BS what those people say.

I know that post does not belong here, but i am frutsrated at all those decision by our Green and red Party B.S.

Me ??    I  kept  my  Opel  Kadett  for 11 years , just sort of  grew   on  me like  a  second skin ,, did  the  look  at new  car  thing   every  year , but  yes  my  beaut  out on  the open  road   engine singing ...  did  not  see  need to  upgrade  yet   , it was  adequate  for  my  needs ... secondly  there  was  nothing  that really  blew  my  hair  back .. I  did  finally  take  the  plunge  as   kind  of  christmas  present  to  myself I  got  a  Renault Clio , always ahd  a  spot  for  french  cars ( see  topic  My  first  car) ..  it was scary driving  this  new  skin  for  the  first  few  days  .. but  now  its  finally  growing  on  me ..

Dalene do you actually drive those vehicles yourself? If so, dan is jy 'n regte boeretanni. The only vehicles I drive is my Honda, husband's Ford F250(need a heavy duty licence, which I don't have) or my husband's Toyota Landcruiser. Love the Landcruiser, best work horse you can get. Never worry about other driver's when I'm driving this, anyone crashing into me will come off second best, this bakkie is rough and tough.
