Throughout the years, the inhouse journal of CDM, now NAMDEB, has changed format somewhat. Some of us knew it by "The Newsletter", others "The Gazette" and a few by "The Bulletin"

Every Friday afternoon, the population of Oranjemund would find their Newsletter in their postbox. This has changed now, due to the fact that the Post Office is no longer the Company's domain, but rather Nampost, who charge for the service.

Once a week throughout the 80's, my mother would post a Newsletter to me at boarding school in Cape Town. That and the tickey box at the hostel were my connection with "home".

I have managed to obtain a few Newsletters from the good old days, and have scanned them. A full Newsletter scanned is just short of 4 megs,and I only have about 500 megs of space available for the entire site including forums, so it would be impossible for me to scan them all. I have placed a few which I think reflect life in those days. When you click on the shortcut, a window will pop open with thumbnails of each page of that edition. This page will remain here, so just close the popup to get back here.

There is currently no zoom function available for those of you with bad vision. I would suggest you right click on the image, not the thumbnail, and choose "Save image as" to your desktop, where you will be able to view the image offline and zoom into the image. As time and space becomes available, I will try to make "Zip" files available for download.
