I think it was the "Deutschland". It was deafanetly a German ship. Probably late 44 or early 45. Traveling from former East Prussia westward with refugees.

Let me put it this way:

The Titanic sank in 1912 after she struck an iceberg.  There were a number of survivors.

Her sisther ship, the Brittanica was built after that with changes to her hull, but due to the wold war the tourism industry was down, so the Britannica was converted to a hospital ship that fetched injured soldiers from somewhere near Turkey off an island in 1941.  She did a number of trips, but then the Germans laid mines in one of the channels somewhere in die Midland sea, and she struck a mine and went down within 55 mins. 

The question then:  True or falce  -  3 people who were on the Titanic and survived her sinking were also onboard the Britannica when she went down and also survived her sinking.

Only 1 person is known of who had survived both sinkings.

A woman who was a nurse, 17 years of age then, for an eldery lady on the Titanic and then later did service as a nurse on the Britannica is the only person known who had survived both incidents.  She was lucky enough to end up in a lifeboat from the Titanic.  When the Britannica went down, she also ended up in a lifeboat.  Word has it that she fell from the lifeboat and went under.  As she came up, her head struck the underside of the lifeboat and she momentarily sort of passed out.  When she came to, the lifeboat had drifted away from her.  The next moment the same lifeboat she was in, was sucked in closer to the ship and when the propellors came up the lifeboat was struck and all the people inside it was shredded to bits infront of her eyes.  She was picked up by another lifeboat later.

There was a cool film on ZDF the other night about the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff. What makes it so sad is that most victims were women and children. Furthermore, the whole tragedy was overshadowed by the sinkings of the Titanic and the Lusitania. I suppose if u'r considered the "bad guys" in a war, the rest of the world doesn't really care.
