Couldn't agree more Snr. The German team lacked the fighting spirit and determination that the Spaniards had. A totally lacklustre performance on their part. Spain totally deserved the win.

@ Carl we all agree on that. technical and morale very high, our team had nothing to offer against that
In fact with a bit more luck i could have been 3:0

I have not watched the whole game,

only the first 10 minutes our team was on top, then no more chance for them

But they will have a big party for our team in Berlin today

Nobody expected the German team to get to the 1/4 finals. So we should be more than satisfied about 2nd place. The only realy good match they playes was against Portugal.
Main thing is, we had plenty of fun the last three weeks. Let's see what happens in SA in 2 years...

I have no confidence in SA's ability to host 2010.  The people in charge are lazy, don't have real pride, determination or competence.  We're going to be the laughing stock of the world.  Mark my words - games will start late, transmission to other countries will be erratic (if successful at all), and there will be public unrest.  Not to mention traffic nightmares.  The planning is done by incompetent fools.  I might seem pessimistic, but I've seen and heard enough (too much) to be so.

I believe you Bertie. You guys are insiders. But I can imagine the FIFA getting active before chaos comes. There's far to much money in this. This is more buiseness than sports.
Let's hope for the best.
As was mentioned before. This could/should be an opertunity to take notice of what's happening down there.

The ongoing strike by the metro police in JHB is a good example of the type of image SA is creating for itself in the rest of the world. Absolutely disgusting and so 3'rd world! These idiots are supposed to set an example for us law abiding citizens who pay their salaries.
There they stand in the middle of the highways leading into what is supposed to be the flagship city of our emerging post apartheid society, urinating in open view of everybody passing by and yelling racial comments at white motorists and news crews.    


Just give me a Humvee and a .50 cal. I'll sort out all SA's problems in one day. Results guaranteed!!!

Everybody said the problems in Africa get solved by giving the black people the power. I don't have to tell you... You're the expert. Every radical change (with the use of violance) causes new radicalism.

Lets see. For starters, there's Sierra Leonne. If it wasn't for the way of the gun, they'd still be running around chopping eachothers hands off. Nowdays they'r so peacefull that they manage to beat the mighty SA in football.
