Hi Paddy - welcome.  Pat O'Brien - horseriding club - your dad? If it is, Uncle Pat used to give us riding lessons and give me and Teresa Wilson a lift home afterwards. He used to let us steer the car home (with one finger on the wheel) ever so slowly - i remember Teresa and i used to fight about whose turn it was and Uncle Pat would have to allocate turns.  I would get home and my mom would make me go change first before sitting down to supper to get rid of that horse/stables smell.............fond memories.

Cheers, Delia (Olivier)

Sorry to hear about Bridgets untimely death.....oh so young still.
My father passed away last year March and my mom is still staying next door to me which is great from both sides.

Mrs O'Brien - strict teacher but I credit her with instilling my love of readiing; she always read stories in class and kept us riveted!

Yep! Yep!, turns out, it was the right Paddy...... used to teach me back in the 80's at CBC, in all honesty , it was quite reassuring to go to boarding school and in Std 6 to find out that one of your teachers was an ex Oranjemunder. Paddy would always ask me at the beginning of each term, how things were back home, remember once you asked about the radio mast to the north of town for some strange reason or other.....
