Stephanie Van Niekerk

Hi all of you,
Pepe.. nice to see you too.
Not much left of our family. Only me and one of the twins (Lina).
Alwyn and Giel lives in Mosselbay. I have not had any contact with them for quite a few years.
How are your family?
I see we both live in Centurion.
Do you remember the year you went with us to the farm?  You were still in primary school if I remember correctly. Hehe, the "farm" family were very impress with the soutie who spoke afrikaans so well.
Oi I miss those years so much.

Richard,
Yes, Bokkie and PPJ's son Jacob were friends. Last time I saw Jacob was in Cape Town. He lives in Table View.
And yes, Bokkie has passed on (1994).
Still not sure what happened there.
One moment he was alive an speaking to his co workers. Half a hour later he was dead. Apparently he committed suicide. Not that we ever could find out why and if he really did or was helped out of this world.

Richard Opperman

Hi Stephanie,

So very sorry to hear of Bokkies passing.

Debby and I see Jacob quite often - lives up the road from us and a few of us ex Omunders in Table View get together every now and then for a braai.

Of our family my parents passed away in the late 80s at a young age (early 60s) - my mom on 22nd February 1986 and dad 22nd February 1987.
My older sister Elizabeth lives in Midrand, my younger sister Cathy here in Constantia Cape and my younger brother Gary in Ceres Cape.

Keep well.

Hi Gerda,

Heyman Kotze, I last saw and spoke to in 1993 at the Oranjemund reunion in Table View and have not seen him since.
If I am not mistaken he either lives in the Durbanville or Somerset West area?

Keep well

Hi Stephanie, also good to see you here:). I remember Lina very well. I am sad and sorry to hear about all the losses in the family. I remember the farm days alright and the soutie was nie te kak nie LOL. My family has also decreasedc in numbers, currently only Ingrid my mom and myself left. My mom is in frail care in Sunnyside Pretoria suffering with Alzheimers disease. Not doing or going very well now.

Pity you have lost contact with the nHuisamens as we were good friends as well (farm days). Yes I live in Centurion, Hennopspark. Been here for 6 years now. Keep in touch and have a great day. Kind Regards, Pepe.
