Holidays to Ai-ais!

How many of you got to go for a weekend trip to nearby Ai-Ais... during your youth... I only got to go there when I turned 28, as my folks thought it was more appropriate to spend your holidays in the Sportsmans and then Hire a bucket of video's from Ozzie Woods, put a matrass or two on the ground and watch movies....

ANyhow, I hear the standards have dropped through the floor there and I do not encourage anyone to visit at the moment....

My favorite place for short trips

Ai Ais remains closed until April, the place is refurbished and when finished it will open up.

I foresee the prices will go up loke they have done in all other NRW places

Believe it or not, I climbed it but I don't remember the book. We had more fun building dams in the river to make sure the water was deep enough to swim a bit.

I remember we climbed up the mountain and yes I do remember the book. I wrote something in the book but I doubt it's still there. I remember the last time I was there I got sunburnt and couldn't go out into the sun for about two days, my mom wasn't to happy with me.

6 months! That's a hell of a long time. Sounds fantastic. My trips in Namibia were for a couple of long weekends and here and there for 2 weeks or so. The country is sobig and so rich in impressions it probably takes you a liftime to see and experience everything. If it doesn't take that long, it'll make you want to stay forever.
As I see, you have decided to live in col, wet and grey Europe. Weather is so :pianto1: at the moment. my car was frozen this morning. Had to scratch the ice of the windscreen to get started.
I could emagine, thast Southhampton climate is milder than ours in Central Europe???
