How about adding title and descriptions to the pictures so that the Newbies can relate to them???  pls

Hi nice to see the old pic: of Oranjemund, but the pic:of the seals was that not in Luderits.

Liz and I have the following contribution to make about the photographs:

We think that photos 1374, 1386, 1392 were possibly the Rec Club.
Photo 1376 seems misplaced as I am sure that it is across the valley from UNISA in Pretoria :  the Voortrekker Monument.
1385 was a non-denominational united church as we definitely attended Anglican Sunday School there.
1393:  we think this is the shopping centre.
1394 is the corner of 11th avenue and ? at the end of the junior primary  (Sub a - Std 1) school playground.
1395:  community hall where we attended ballet classes and youth club "sessions".
1391:  outside the central offices.  From the position of the aerial, from the power station area.
1388:  definitely inverted picture of the cinema: the doorway should be on the left of the picture.
1383:  Yacht club gate was definitely still in place in 1981 when I left Oranjemund.
this was fun and we will try to find additional photographic material in our father's slides.
